About Robby The Robot's Waiting
Launched in summer 2020, Robby The Robot’s Waiting: The Sci-Fi Podcast is a fortnightly, hour-long podcast that covers science fiction, fantasy and horror subjects.
It's an informal, friendly journey into what's great in sci-fi, like listening in on your knowledgeable, nerdy friends as they discuss what’s good in TV and film. In each episode, Richard, Tanavi and Dave discuss what’s worth watching right now, then look back at a classic film, series or book in the company of an expert guest.
First and foremost we're fans, but we also have many years' experience of working as journalists and presenters in the entertainment industry. We’ve visited movie sets, attended conventions, reviewed films, compèred author panels, and interviewed actors and directors, so we have plenty of behind-the-scenes anecdotes. Our sci-fi podcast guests are all people known for their insight and expertise in the genre - and they're people we love spending time with and know you will too.
Why "Robby The Robot's Waiting"? It's what you get when you mash-up Forbidden Planet and Bananarama. Obviously.
